IMPORTANT NOTICES

Merger Update for Patients of Combe Coastal Practice

On Wednesday 27 April 2016 we will be merging our clinical systems for Warwick and Waterside Practices to form the new Combe Coastal system.  This will mean that we will have no access to patient records at this time and will be unable to offer appts or print patient prescriptions after 3pm

Patients who use our online service SystmOnline to book appointments and order medication will also see a disruption to this service which will be unavailable until Thursday 28 April 2016

We apologise for any inconvenience to our patients however this is vital work that cannot be completed out of hours and is included in the final phase of our building and refurbishment work

Thank you for your co-operation during this time

Welcome to the new Combe Coastal Website

Warwick and Waterside practice have now officially merged and we are delighted to introduce the Combe Coastal Practice.  The new website www.CombeCoastalPractice.co.uk will be up and running any day now and we would like to encourage our patients to bookmark the new site address when available as the old Warwick and waterside practice websites will be removed in a few months time.
Building work at the Ilfracombe Medical centre is now almost finished.  The front entrance has reopened and the new Same Day Service will be opening very soon.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank all our patients for their cooperation during this busy time.

Goodbye to Dr Womersley & Dr Kilner

We say a sad farewell to Dr Womersley and Dr Kilner, who retired as GP Partners on 1st April 2016.  Dr Womersley and Dr Kilners patients will be covered by our Locums until Dr Yeo joins us in a few months time.

Both Dr Womersley and Dr Kilner will be sadly missed, but we wish them the best of luck for the future.

Named Allocated GP

You may be aware that from April 2015 all practices are required to provide all their patients with a named GP who will have overall responsibility for the care and support that our surgery provides to them.

The allocated named GP will have overall responsibility for the care and support that our surgery provides to you. This does not prevent you from seeing any GP in the practice as you currently do.

You do not need to take any further action. If you wish to be told the name of your named GP, please ask the receptionists when you are next in the surgery or call the surgery on 01271 863119.  Alternatively this information is available on the top right hand side of your repeat prescription slip.

If you are unhappy with the named doctor allocated to you and have a genuine concern that this doctor will not be best placed to undertake the responsibilities assigned; then you can ask to be reallocated to another doctor.

Welcome to Combe Coastal Practice

Combe Coastal Practice is a group of doctors who work with a Primary Healthcare Team to provide a complete range of medical services.  We are strongly committed to the NHS and pride ourselves in providing a personal, traditional type of family medicine.

We are keen to improve the general health of the population and reduce preventable disease.  In view of this, a strong emphasis is placed on health promotion and education by both the GPs and Nursing Team.  Our vision is 'to improve and develop all that you value in General Practice, whilst working in a larger business structure in order to operate more effectively in the New NHS'.

Our main surgery is at Ilfracombe Medical Centre and we have large branch surgeries at Combe Martin and Woolacombe

Access

There is easy access in Ilfracombe and facilities for the disabled including a ramp to the automatic doors, disabled toilets and a lift.  Both Combe Martin and Woolacombe are single storey buildings with easy access via level access or ramps and both have disabled toilet facilities.  There is very limited car parking at all of our medical centres and we encourage our patients to walk to the surgeries or use public transport if at all possible.

Car Parking

There is limited car parking at all of our 3 Medical Centres for the use of patients with a doctor or nurse appointment only, we respectfully request that you only use the car park if attending an appointment here at the medical centre.
